The Legacy Marquis HD is one center
channel loudspeaker which will instantly make your head turn. Placed on your
television or under it, or even more aristocratically – on a dedicated floor
stand, the Legacy Marquis HD will deliver you sound other loudspeakers in the
same price range can only dream about, while its rear-vented, noble cabinet
helps dissipating the stationary waves by its very architecture. The cabinet is
heavily braced internally and is also magnetically shielded, so, placing it near
TVs or monitors will be safe.
The drivers in the Legacy Marquis XD are placed in a d'Apollito-like array: two
larger woofers on the sides and the tweeter/midrange in the middle. The woofers
sport very serious 12” Aura concave cones and their lowest frequency is 38Hz,
low enough for delivering also a rich punch when needed amidst the most intense
action.
The center-placed tweeter is a 1” Neo Spiral ribbon and it is capable of
delivering up to 25kHz sound, thus being perfect for SACD or DVD-Audio's
high-demands standards. Below the HF unit comes the 7” silver-graphite midrange
driver whose response adds extreme clarity to the overall sound, providing with
further detail and percussive acoustics.
